ABOUT

Mammoth Publications, which is located in Healdsburg, California (Sonoma County), is Indigenous-owned (and not to be confused with Mammoth Press in Pennsylvania). The press was founded in 2003 to publish Anishinaabe author Eddie Two-Rivers’ collection of poetry, followed by our first print-on-demand book, Langston Hughes in Lawrence, 2004. Co-publishers were Thomas Pecore Weso, enrolled member of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin, and Denise Low, Delaware heritage. Tom, author of two award-winning memoires and a children’s book, died at age 70 in 2023.

This small press publishes two to five titles a year.  We have a limited chapbook series, by invitation. Mammoth books have won state, national, and international awards and recognition. Priorities are Indigenous and regional writers. Donate to help keep us alive! Donations for this independent voice are appreciated. Donate: Click Here any amount through PayPal or contact mammothpubs@gmail.com Mail us at 610 Alta Vista Dr., Healdsburg, CA 95448.

Authors receive a contract with promotion and listing on our website. Most of our standard-size books, paper and electronic, are distributed through Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and listed in Lord and Taylor.
